I found this poem on Mawun Beach, Central Lombok, Indonesia. One of the most beautiful beaches on Lombok Island. Here the yearn turn to be a poem. Like mine, it’s turn to “I float My Yearning to The Waves Tongue”. (Nanda Wirabaskara)
To the sand I asked,
“Why love is not echoing?”
With the sea we are sparated
So my desire to meet you
Is hollow banging
Every raindrop will fall to the earth.
Every smoke will fly to the sky.
Like the way it is…
I float My Yearning to The Waves Tongue
Mawun Bay, September 21, 2017.
This poem is originally in Bahasa, title “Kularung Rinduku di Lidah Gelombang“
