I float My Yearning to The Waves Tongue

I found this poem on Mawun Beach, Central Lombok, Indonesia. One of the most beautiful beaches on Lombok Island. Here the yearn turn to be a poem. Like mine, it’s turn to “I float My Yearning to The Waves Tongue”. (Nanda Wirabaskara)

Trace on the sand

To the sand I asked,
“Why love is not echoing?”
Because
With the sea we are sparated
So my desire to meet you
Is hollow banging

Every raindrop will fall to the earth.
Every smoke will fly to the sky.
Like the way it is…
I float My Yearning to The Waves Tongue
